Because we all know it's bound to happen at some point.

I had an Ansembourg dream last night.
I don't remember the whole thing, but I remember more than enough to make it worth mentioning.
There was the beginning of it that I don't really remember, but what I do remember is Mika was looking for someone. Older Mika, at least a few years after graduating. I think it was Flash but I'm not entirely sure, but she was looking for help to find them through other mutants.
In my dream, there was a method for mutants (in the know ones, at least) to be able to identify one another. There was a flyer that they would show, something that looked totally innocent, but was distinctly recognizable for them. It was accompanied by the phrase, "Can you help me?"
This is just what Mika asked of this one man, who responded by closing his eyes and sighing. Realizing this meant that he recognized the flyer, she repeated the question. "Can you help me?"
He responded in turn, saying to her, "Let me tell you a story…" They turned and began to walk together, to avoid the cameras that were always watching. (For, you know how many surveillance cameras there are in the world today? There are even more then, in my dream, and they are even better than before.) The man proceeded to quietly tell his story.
They were in the outskirts of a run-down old town, near a railroad crossing with an old car parked near by, some wooden run-down buildings in the far background, and a road even further away, where cars were passing on what looked to be an older route freeway, not even stopping to pass through the little town. The ground was dusty, dry. It looked like it might be somewhere in the south, or maybe in Wyoming. Even southern Utah. Some place like that, but it was older. Forgotten. Fallen off the map. Maybe that's why the man had chosen to be there.
Now this man, he had an interesting power. You see, he could change the appearance of things around him. Not in the illusionary sense, as Deryck could, and it was not instant. No, he could slowly, but surely, will the things around him to change. When he was younger, he was in the theatre. Oh, how he loved his time there… already well aware of his powers, he took full advantage of them. Slowly he manipulated everything to be of his choosing - the set, the costumes, and even the people. Everything was as, in his mind, it should be.
But it wasn't enough.
He had a special place, where he would go - a glade, of sorts. Though he had not always lived in this town, he had always lived in the desert. The plains. Those dry, barren places. So he created his glade. Lush, full of trees, of water, everything. But it was fighting a losing battle to keep it alive. Everyday he would find something else killed by the dry and the heat, and he would spend more time building it back up, or replacing it.
It was not enough.
For no matter how much he changed the things around him, he could not change himself - it was not within his power. So while he lived in his perfect little world, surrounded by perfect little things and his perfect people, he found that he himself, the creator, was not up to par.
It drove him mad.
He'd forced himself away from it all. Run from everything he knew, everyone he had, all that he had ever influenced - and swore he would never do it again. He had come here, to a long forgotten place that was fallen into dust, where he could live in peace, and forget that perfect place that had never been perfect at all. Where he could forget that he could do any of it in the first place.
And now here she was, asking for help from him, who had never done any good, and done far too much harm to the world. He could not help her, no… but he prayed that perhaps, through his story, he might help others. As they finally stopped once more, he asked her quietly, sincerely, and without any sign of the desperation he felt, to pass on his story. To tell it to others. To make sure that they understood his mistakes, so that one day, others like him could avoid his fall. She agreed.
Then, with a gentle smile, the man turned, got into an old, beaten-up car beside them, and with the sputtering of a dying engine, slowly drove away.

M'kay so like… it was awhile after Zeke died. Like, he'd been dead, I dunno… anywhere from a year to two years, MAYBE longer. I dunno how long Jacob's little fight would last. It was already pretty deep.
Soooo Jacob was chillin in a tree, one leg hanging down, leaning back - and by chillin, I mean sitting there and doin' some plotting. Methinks, at least, by the look in his eye and how my brain processed it. Anyhow. It was night, a little after the sun had set completely, seemed.
There was something leading up to that but it was rather fuzzy.
Anyhow. You could see a city in the distance - just the glow of it, and the outlines of the occasional very tall buildings. It was far away, but looked as though it might be the next target. Or. Something.
And then there was Dragon. She came out of nowhere, as she is want to do. There was just suddenly her voice, and Jacob kind of jumped a little - less physically, and more like there was just a jolt of surprise in his eyes, but at the same time he like.. expected it? I dunno. .-. I think she'd shown up before.
Anyhow. There was then a conversation of sorts. Dragon was with the resistance at this point, and it seemed like she was trying to talk him into a deal. It seemed like they sent her because A. She was from Ansem, so she knew Jacob for longer than just their shared time in the resistance, and B. she could poof in and out relatively unseen and unscathed. Anyhow.
Like I said, she was trying to talk him out of what he was doing. He wasn't really agreeing to anything, but it wasn't like he was being mean or anything. More than anything he just seemed… tired, at that point. Like he really didn't want to hear what she was saying but he knew he wasn't going to accept it and.. yeah I dunno.
Then came another voice, and Laelia comes stalking down a tree branch as a panther to stand next to them (big tree). She could talk as a panther for… some reason. Dreamlogic. It was just low and growly. Anyhow. So Laelia was much clearer in her displeasure, even though she still said it in that voice with a tone that seemed totally inappropriate. Jacob kept saying her name in a warning tone, but she wasn't really listening.
Anyhow. Their was some talk back and forth, Jake seeming rather monotone, Laelia a little more vocal, and Dragon reserved but firm. Actual dialogue… very fuzzy. Then it seemed to come to and end, with Dragon sighing and Laelia getting to her feet (paws? yeah). Jacob just stayed where he was, looking thoughtful. And then one of the first lines of dialogue I DO remember. Dragon got up from where she was crouched, turned around, then paused and looked back. She said…
"..I am sorry. I just hope you know that we understand… but you brought this on yourself."
At which point Jake's demeanor shifted in a SNAP, then Dragon vanished into the shadow, and Laelia hissed. She looked at Jacob and started to ask something (probably what Dragon meant), and Jake shushed her. He stared out into the dark, alert, and for a moment, nothing happened. He still didn't relax.
And then the screeching started.
And then Jacob and Laelia took off, off the big tree, down into the bushes, and then it opened up into a sort of forested.. mudflats. Mud, water, plants, dotted with trees. Like a big clearing. Aanndd in the clearing there were a few fights going on - and more people were showing up on each side of the clearing and diving into the fray.
There was a lot going on, and APPARENTLY, my brain decided everyone should be involved. .0. Star (still goin' strong!) was engaged with a water manipulator, who had the edge on her for the moment, but it didn't look like you should underestimate things. Caleb was shooting at SOMETHING, but I couldn't quite see it. Then color flashed past him, and a hyena shifter that was with the resistance pounced on fox!Matt, who was with Jake, and Matt started shrieking and flailing and clawing with his little fox claws, but the Hyena had him by the ruff and started shaking.
…and then there was KLYK. He roared in, pounced in the hyena, grabbed her, flipped her over, and dug his teeth into her belly. While the hyena screamed, he then started leaking lava from his mouth. Eventually the hyena squirmed free and stumbled quickly back across the line and into the bushes, out of the fray. Kylkdoom them roared again, and pounded out into battle with Mattfox clipping at his ankles.
Then, a most prominent SNAP CRASH ROAR sounded before what appeared to be a super-pumped-up Troggle came charging in. This was followed by Lilith rushing out behind him, and Dragon actually used Troggle as a transit, and swooshed out in a roll, coming back to her feet beside Lilith. This was responded with a: "You're late", and then Dragon's "Yeah I know, what else is new." And then they sort of rushed in and started doing a tag-team thing. I am 97.9% sure they were partners. o3o
Aannd of course by then Jake and Laelia were wrecking their individual havoc, with Lael mauling things and Jake being like WHOOSH AIR BOOM.
There was a confrontation then, between Jake and Caleb. It was fuzzy but Jake was saying a lot of things and trying to confuse Cale, I think. Anyhow. He had to run off because Star was screaming for him. Literally. She had a wolf shifter (white, by the gods I THINK it might have been travis, but I couldn't tell) by the JAWS, and it had her pinned back-down in the mud, and she was about ready to lose her grip. So Caleb shot off, and then Jacob yelled "FINISH HER" at the wolf shifter, who then snapped, shook off her hands, and managed to go in on the left side of her face. Caleb wasn't there yet, but right before he was, turned out he didn't need to be, because Dragon came out of NOWHERE (perusal) and was just like KNIFE-BETWEEN-SHOULDERS. Wolf shifter howled, tried to shake her off, but she clung on. Pulled out knife, and BAM between the ribs, again and BAM behind the ribs into the gut, pulled out again and BAM clocking him over the head with the hilt (if you call the handle on the knife that, idk) She was REALLY going at this thing.
That gave Caleb the chance to get to Star. He was helping her up, and she had one hand over the left side of her face which was just COVERED with blood. Turns out she'd just had an EYE RIPPED OUT, but she was just like "GO, keep fighting! I'll be fine" and he was like "WTF STAR YOU'RE AN IDIOT D: D: D: I'M NOT LEAVING YOU HERE" and she just kind of snapped at him and shoved him away, and then stumbled a little. She then took the blood from her face and was just like BAM WHIP and snapped a little fox shifter (Matt again I think) out of her way, sent him FLYING, and ran back to safety. Caleb followed her for a minute, then once he was sure she'd be okay, turned around and dove back into the fray to help Dragon now, but she'd just been thrown off and tossed into the shadows.
Anyhow. Fighting was progressing, and then, there was a loud WHIRWHIRWHIR noise, and the spotlight of a helicopter appeared overhead. It flashed around for a little bit, then flashed on and off three times. Then it stayed off for a minute… and the light in the cockpit came on (if they even HAVE those??) and you could see who was inside. There was the pilot (no one in particular) and then beside him… was Dimi. You saw him looking down, then you saw his view, and then suddenly you were with Jacob again. He looked up, and saw Dimi, and froze, just staring up.
Laelia saw the copter too. She saw Dimi, and she stopped as well. Then she looked behind those two.. and there was Nic. He had a concentrated look on his face, probably using him to try and determine the outcome of the battle as things changed. Anyhow. There was enough flashing and sparks and FIRE on the field by now that Dimi could see Jacob, and once he noticed her, Nic could see Laelia as well. A couple slo-mo heartbeats pass, of just staring… and the Jacob's eyes narrow, and he turns, and yells at the ones on his side.
"PULL BACK, PULL BACK!"
As he does so, Laelia lifts her Panther head, and yowlgrowls, as her own signal, to make sure those on HER side of the field hear. Those on fighting for Jake/Laelia break away from their fights, and start streaking back into the bushes. Jacob and Lae both hold their ground until everyone else is gone, and then as the final few run back into the brush, they turn and quickly follow, Laelia just ahead of Jacob, so that he's the last one out.
Silence fell on a bloody field...

I am the business owner of an online vape store called Smoke House Vapez and I am aiming to take on far more vape juice brand names in order to stay on top of the competition. I am thinking about stocking the following eliquid brand names which seem to have a fairly good honest review on CBD SHop Directory: Alien Vape Premium E-Juice, Innevape eLiquids SALTS, Pucker Punch and THE DROP eJuice. Any guidance would be significantly appreciated. You can message me on Facebook www.facebook.com/Smokehousevapez or just respond to this thread!
