The brown Vulticus gnawed at the Galabex bone, while a few others ripped a carcass to shreds underneath the moonlight. They were all in the alleyway- the dark, damp, and cold alleyway. But pain had toughened her up. It had toughened her whole life up; her heart had cracked and mended itself back together sloppily.
Rowan wasn't the type to hang around out here. Or, well, she used to not be. Now she was part of it, this life of being dragged down and standing up again- sometimes even fighting back in defiance. But they always ended up back on the streets, still fighting for survival, taking down those they could. It was a hard life- but someone had to save the world.
((For Mika and I only.))

((I'm going to RP Rose as being juvvie or young adult, alright? :3 I have MUCH inspiration for her in that stage...))
She had followed. It wasn't so much that she was very attached to her mother, but rather that she had been given no where else to go. Her sharp claws ripped through hide as she helped her jaws seperate a limb from the kill. It soon came loose, and she padded over to Rowan's side. The limb dropped from her jaws, and she raised her head for a few moments to look at the cold sky. Eventually, her hind end came down on the damp stone to rest, and the rest of her followed. She dug in softly to her own food, sapphire eyes apathetic and distant...

((Alright. ^-^))
Rowan flicked an ear as Rose sat down beside her. She loved her daughter, of course, but she never seemed to have any time for her anymore. Shar and Thyme had Killer to take care of them... but Rose... Rose hadn't gone with them. She'd stayed. Rowan admired her for that. She'd always been such a perfect child... Sharlotte and Thyme were wonderful children, both quite intelligent. But Rose was perfect... plus, she'd stayed.
Rowan wouldn't forget that. She sat up, yawning. "Do you miss him?" Rowan looked at Rose, her tail touching her daughter's shoulder. "Your father, I mean."

Her head lifted to look at her mother, and something flickered deep within them. She was silent for several moments, before she spoke. "...no." Her voice was dismissive, as if she'd been asked if the weather was pleasing. Perhaps the question meant no more to her than that; she never seemed to care about much any more. Some said she showed emotion in other, more subtle ways - others still said she no longer had a heart to feel. No one could really be sure what was right, and what was wrong... perhaps even Rose the Fallen wasn't sure anymore.

Rowan sighed, eyes giving off a hollow look. "I miss him too." She rested her head on her daughter's shoulder, nuzzling her cheek lovingly. Then, she got up, stretching as if nothing had happened. She yawned, and walked forward towards a large male with odd markings all over his body. She sat down in front of him, smiling lightly. "Good evening, Coati."
The male narrowed his eyes, but made a short reply. "Evening. What is it that you want?" Rowan's smile faded, and she nodded. "It's my turn to hunt." Coati nodded in turn. "True. You may go. And take your daughter with you." He flicked his tail in dismissal. Rowan nodded again and turned, getting up and walking to Rose. "Want to come hunting? It's better than sitting there all night." She smiled lightly, but her eyes pleaded.
